Diaper Collection for Refugees
The Chapel Hill Service League did a diaper collection this month for the Refugee Support Center in Chapel Hill. The photo shows just a portion of the hundreds of diapers we delivered to their office. They'll be sorted and distributed to approximately 60 refugee families, primarily coming from Afghanistan, Burma, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, and Syria. The Refugee Support Center was grateful for the donation. Check them out at http://www.refugeesupportcenter.org/

Eat Pasta, Make a Difference!
Our annual Pasta with Purpose night is right around the corner, so don't delay in making your reservation! Christmas House (a project of the Chapel Hill Service League) fundraises every year through the Carolina Club's Pasta with Purpose charitable dinner. I'm looking forward to it because I love supporting the League and Christmas House - and I really love pasta!

Volunteer Gardening for Wonder Connection
The morning started out chilly, but we warmed up quickly while cleaning up the garden, raking the beds, picking up leaves, pulling weeds, and sweeping the walkways for Wonder Connection . We added paths through the garden beds and even planted a few plants - all in an hour and a half. Wonder Connection does such good and important work with kids in UNC Hospital, including the pediatric psychiatric inpatients. The garden is safe and self-contained in a courtyard. Thanks to Won

We're kicking off the new League year!
We had our first General Meeting of the 2025-2026 Chapel Hill Service League year! League President Sarah McInnes started the meeting by thanking everyone for giving her the honor of being this year's President. Members enjoyed a potluck dinner while catching up with friends they hadn't seen over the summer break. It feels great to be back!
