When you donate to the Chapel Hill Service League, your funds help support Christmas House and Community Outreach projects within Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and the surrounding areas. Membership dues and grants cover our operating costs, so you can be assured that 100% of your donation dollars and all event proceeds go directly towards the betterment of the community.

Donate to Christmas House "A Chapel Hill Tradition since 1950!"

Christmas House is a seperate 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that is organized by the Service League and funded and staffed by the League and the community. It is also the Service League's largest annual project. We're extremely proud of the Christmas House project, as it has grown over the decades to touch the lives of more than 820 local school children every holiday season. It is also truely a community project and we couldn't do it without community contributions (donations and/or toys) and community volunteers.

The purpose of Christmas House is to make the holiday season a little brighter for local families who may be struggling with some tough times, whether that's due to the loss of a job, loss of a family member, overwhelming and unexpected medical costs, you name it. The Service League does not choose the recipient families, they are sent to us by our local social workers who work in the schools, closest with the families.

We help make the season brighter by inviting parents to "shop" for their children. Each child receives toys, books, a coat, and in some cases a new bike and helmet. All of this is free of cost to the families.

Donate for Cinderella's Closet

The Chapel Hill Service League provides formal wear to high school students who would otherwise not be able to afford prom. Our project, Cinderella's Closet, is a boutique where local teens get to "shop" for their dream prom dress. You can give a financial donation to help us continue Cinderella's Closet or you can donate your gently used prom gowns.
